Carl Herring Jr. At MoCCA fest With ICONIC

The MoCCA fest was in full swing this past weekend at the 69th Armory in New York City. I had the chance to participate with my fellow members from the Comicbook Artists Guild or CAG for short. We were debuting CAG's latest publication, ICONIC. For those who haven't heard, ICONIC is a great family oriented graphic novel featuring ten stories written and drawn by various members of the CAG organization. All the stories feature well known characters of literature in tales that are sure to entertain readers of all ages. To purchase a copy of ICONIC, go to: www.comicartguild.com .

A Day At The ECBACC With Carl Herring Jr. ; Part Two

A day at the ECBACC was turning out to be a truly great day for me. The love and support that the ECBACC fans showed to all the comic book creators was overwhelming. I got to spend time with my friend Prof. William Foster, a comic book historian and author of several books.

I also got a chance to spend time with Jemir Johnson, author of the fine graphic novel 5 shots.

The press was on hand to give creators a chance to talk about their products. Here I am talking to Dr. Truth about Crime Wave Anthology vol 1 featuring CHASE AND HUNT (TM).

A Day At The ECBACC; Part One

The eighth annual East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention held May 16, 2009 has come and gone. The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, PA. An exciting time seemed to be had by all. Fans moved from one vendor to the next, looking over the incredible array of comic books, graphic novels, fine arts and other merchandises that filled the convention hall. Also on hand were workshops, film screenings, and even a martial arts demonstration. The ECBACC had something for everyone.

Carl Herring Jr. To Appear At ECBACC

The East Coast Black Age of Comics Con is being held on May 16, 2009 in Philadelphia, PA. www.ecbacc.com/wordpress . I attended the Con last year as a spectator. I had a great time meeting with some of the artists and was able to find some really cool books. I'm very excited about going this year since I'll be participating in the Con. I'm looking forward to meeting with the ECBACC fans, because they are known for showing a lot of support to the artists and their works.

The ECBACC spotlights black characters in comic books and literature, but the show will appeal to comic book fans of all races. I encourage all those who can attend, come down to the Con.
