Carl Herring Jr. and Three J Productions, LLC look forward to Z Dead End

I am excited to announce my latest IMBD credit is filmmaker Robert Resto's Z Dead End.  When I saw the promo trailer for this film I couldn't pass up the opportunity to contribute some financial backing to this project.  The fact that former James Bond actor George Lazenby is one of the stars of this film sealed the deal for me.  I am a huge Bond fan.  For any of you out there who are fans of good zombie films or just want to show some love to a former Bond actor or both, there is still time to contribute to Z Dead End by following the link below.

Thank you all for your continued support and may you stay healthly and safe during these strange times. - Carl Herring Jr. President

Fan Expo Boston 2019 with Marvel's Luke Cage Michael Colter

After a little hiatus from the comic book industry and from the convention scene, I find myself amazed at the level of energy and enthusiasm the fans show for an industry that has been pronounced dead more than once.  Comic book sales may not reach the levels of its heyday but the love the fans have for this industry is unwavering.

The love was on full display this past Aug. 16-18 at the Fan Expo Boston 2019.  The three day event hosted the likes of John Travolta, Izombie's Rose McIver, the cast of Boy Meets World and the list goes on.  For me it was a great day of fun meeting up with some of my friends and colleagues in the comic book industry, but the highlight of the day was meeting one of my favorite actors.  Here I am pictured below with the one and only Michael Colter, the star of Netflix's Marvel series Luke Cage.

I had so much fun this year, like the rest of the fans I can't wait for Fan Expo Boston 2020.

Terrificon 2019 with The Flash John Wesley Shipp

Aug 9th to 11th -2019 was the dates of the always fun Terrificon at the Mohegan Sun in Montville, Ct this past weekend.  I attended the Con on Friday and made the rounds to the various vendors and met up with some old friends from the comic book industry.

The highlight of the day was when I met actor John Wesley Shipp who starred in one of my favorite shows from the past.  Mr. Shipp starred as Barry Allen on the CBS superhero series The Flash from 1990 to 1991 and now has a recurring role on the current CW network's The Flash series.  It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Shipp and getting his autograph, plus a photo with him and I together.

Before leaving the Con I had to make my way to the Batmobile exhibit.  Here is a picture of me with my friends and the Dark Knight himself as we stand next to two versions of the Batmobile used in the Batman movies.

What a great day, can't wait for Terrificon 2020.  Hope to see you there.-

Meeting the star of The Last Dragon at the Hudson Valley Comic Con

I took a ride the weekend of April 21-22 to the Hudson Valley Comic Con in Poughkeepsie, NY.  It felt great getting back on the convention circuit and seeing old friends and making some new ones.  I was particularly thrilled to meet Taimak, martial arts champion, actor, stuntman and star of the 1985 Sony Picture cult classic film The Last Dragon.
I'm standing on Taimak's right side and in the picture are a couple of my buddies.  It was a real pleasure talking to him about his training and future plans.  What a great guy and a true star.

In coming months I will be on the road visiting more comic book conventions and sharing some of my pics and stories in future blogs.  I hope you will stop by Three J Productions, LLC blogspot and share in the moments.  - Carl Herring Jr. / President Three J Productions, LLC

An Evening with Michael Jai White

I recently had the pleasure of attending a fundraising event for The Ralphola Taylor Community Center YMCA.  The event was An Evening with Michael Jai White.  It was great to see the multi-talented actor, writer and director Michael Jai White back in our hometown of Bridgeport, Conn. to help raise money for the local community center where he spent much of his time as a youth.

The evening was filled with music, food and entertainment supplied by the RTCC YMCA Dance Ensemble.  The highlight of the evening was when Michael began sharing stories of how important the Community Center and the staff were in helping to shape him into the man that he is today.  He also stressed the importance of having The Ralphola Taylor Community Center YMCA open to the future youths of Bridgeport.
