A message from Carl Herring Jr. President of Three J Productions, LLC

Like most businesses Three J Productions, LLC is trying to manage during these difficult times.  And as we make the most of staying indoors and keeping our distance, while we wait for our lives to return to some semblance of the life we use to know, I would like to take this moment to say thank you to all those healthcare workers out there who put their own lives on the line everyday to help those infected with the COVID-19 virus.

Healthcare workers like Dr. Kim who cared for me as I battled the virus.  For three weeks I fought the virus from home, but not without daily phone calls from Dr. Kim to monitor my progress and make sure that I was taking my medications and keeping an eye on my temperature.  Once I was finally feeling better, I returned to her office to get my blood test done, Dr. Kim greeted me with this big smile and began to thank me for getting better.  Of course it was I who had to thank her for all of her constant care and true dedication to her profession that makes her and healthcare workers like her so special.  To Dr. Kim and healthcare workers everywhere, thank you for all that you do.

I feel very blessed to have survived this virus and would like to take this moment to say my prayers are with those who may be currently fighting the virus and to the loved ones of those who lost their fight.  May God bless us all as we get through this together.

Three J Productions, LLC and Carl Herring Jr. Gets Demented 1

Doing a follow up to my last post.  I talked about Demented 2: The Beginning, a film that I have a small financial stake in and I'm credited as one of the film's producers.  The film is the creation of the very talented writer and director Nigel Hartwell who is currently working on Demented 1.  The film is in post production and Nigel has a new Kickstarter fundraiser going on to raise funds to put the finishing touches on the film.

The new year has arrived, which means Three J Productions, LLC has new exciting projects to announce for 2020.  The first project I am thrilled to announce is a new film investment opportunity that I came across to start off the year.

The film is titled Demented 2: The Beginning by writer, director and founder of New Blood Entertainment Nigel Hartwell.  I have a small financial stake in the film plus an IMBD credit as a producer.

Fan Expo Boston 2019 with Marvel's Luke Cage Michael Colter

After a little hiatus from the comic book industry and from the convention scene, I find myself amazed at the level of energy and enthusiasm the fans show for an industry that has been pronounced dead more than once.  Comic book sales may not reach the levels of its heyday but the love the fans have for this industry is unwavering.

The love was on full display this past Aug. 16-18 at the Fan Expo Boston 2019.  The three day event hosted the likes of John Travolta, Izombie's Rose McIver, the cast of Boy Meets World and the list goes on.  For me it was a great day of fun meeting up with some of my friends and colleagues in the comic book industry, but the highlight of the day was meeting one of my favorite actors.  Here I am pictured below with the one and only Michael Colter, the star of Netflix's Marvel series Luke Cage.

I had so much fun this year, like the rest of the fans I can't wait for Fan Expo Boston 2020.

Terrificon 2019 with The Flash John Wesley Shipp

Aug 9th to 11th -2019 was the dates of the always fun Terrificon at the Mohegan Sun in Montville, Ct this past weekend.  I attended the Con on Friday and made the rounds to the various vendors and met up with some old friends from the comic book industry.

The highlight of the day was when I met actor John Wesley Shipp who starred in one of my favorite shows from the past.  Mr. Shipp starred as Barry Allen on the CBS superhero series The Flash from 1990 to 1991 and now has a recurring role on the current CW network's The Flash series.  It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Shipp and getting his autograph, plus a photo with him and I together. 

Before leaving the Con I had to make my way to the Batmobile exhibit.  Here is a picture of me with my friends and the Dark Knight himself as we stand next to two versions of the Batmobile used in the Batman movies.

What a great day, can't wait for Terrificon 2020.  Hope to see you there.-
